Isolation Boy

Kevin House is a self-taught artist working within storytelling traditions, hoax histories, poetry, miniatures, music and photography. He was born in London, England, and raised in Canada. House has exhibited at the Outsider Art Fair in New York numerous times and is a featured artist in the upcoming book, Outsider Art in Canada, to be published by the University of Regina Press.

“There is an inherent musicality to all my creations. Finding the intuitive and meditative state is key to all that I produce — the unknowable mojo that happens when a series of notes or images come together to create a whole. I imagine I’m a private investigator of sorts when I work on creations, trying to solve a mysterious case that will lead me forward to the next clue, or place.

My latest project, Isolation Boy, originates in my experience with isolation and self-reflection.”
